La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who choose to breastfeed. Each Group holds informal monthly meetings/discussions on breastfeeding geared to the mothers in attendance. Each Group maintains a lending library with books on breastfeeding, mothering, and related topics. Groups also have books for sale, including THE WOMANLY ART OF BREASTFEEDING. Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine. |
La Leche League of Cleveland Ohio Para información en Español, ver más abajo letra "E" All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings. La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns. In addition, they have information on and access to breastfeeding aids and products. All breastfeeding mothers are welcome to come to our free meetings (nursing children welcome too!) or to call our Leaders for breastfeeding help. Meeting Schedules and Leaders for Area Groups Group meeting locations rotate unless a location is given below. Whether or not the location is given, it is a good idea to contact the Leader shortly before the meeting date to confirm the meeting time and place and obtain directions. |
