La
Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization
dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women
who choose to breastfeed. Breastfeeding
is natural, but that doesn't mean women can do it by instinct alone. Like
childbirth, breastfeeding is easier with help. Problems of lactation can
usually be avoided with preparation and information. All breastfeeding
mothers and all mothers-to-be are welcome to come to our free meetings
(nursing children are welcome too!) or to call for further information. |

La Leche League of La Leche League Dayton Chapter Phone (To get help by phone) Announcement only of all La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have
breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La
Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects
of breastfeeding. They are available by phone between meetings for
breastfeeding questions or concerns. All breastfeeding
mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to
our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or
information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings. General Group Information Each
group maintains a lending library on breastfeeding and related topics. They
have books for sale, including The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding. They have
information on and access to baby slings and breast pumps. They hold informal
monthly meetings/discussions on breastfeeding geared to those in attendance.
La Leche League Leaders are available for phone calls regarding meeting
information and whenever you have breastfeeding questions that cannot wait
until the next meeting. Groups may also hold toddler, enrichment and couples
