LLL of Ohio
La Leche League is an
international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing
education, information, support, and encouragement to women who choose to
breastfeed.
Breastfeeding is
natural, but that doesn't mean women can do it by instinct alone. Like childbirth,
breastfeeding is easier with help. Problems of lactation can usually be
avoided with preparation and information. All breastfeeding mothers and all
mothers-to-be are welcome to come to our free meetings (nursing children
are welcome too!) or to call for further information. La Leche League
offers:
- Mother-to-mother support
- Monthly meetings
- Telephone help from
accredited Leaders
- Lending library with
books on childbirth, breastfeeding, and related subjects

La Leche League
of Erie County, Ohio
A La Leche League Group holds informal monthly
meetings/discussions on breastfeeding geared to those in attendance. Groups
may also hold periodic toddler, enrichment and couples meetings. Each Group
maintains a lending library on breastfeeding and related topics. Groups
also have books for sale, including The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding. In
addition, they have information on and access to breastfeeding aids and
products.

La Leche League of Erie County
meets every second Monday of the month.
There is a morning meeting at 10:00 a.m. in Huron, and an evening
meeting at 7:00 p.m. in Norwalk.

Meetings may be rescheduled, so call or email Pat (see
info below) to confirm the meeting is taking place.
La
Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who are accredited by La Leche
League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of
breastfeeding. La Leche League Leaders are available for phone calls
regarding meeting information and whenever you have breastfeeding questions
that cannot wait until the next meeting. Leaders can also give information
about the nearest geographical LLL Group meeting to your home and/or
meeting topics.
