LLL of Ohio

La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who choose to breastfeed.

Breastfeeding is natural, but that doesn't mean women can do it by instinct alone. Like childbirth, breastfeeding is easier with help. Problems can usually be avoided with preparation and information. All breastfeeding mothers and all mothers-to-be are welcome to come to our free meetings (nursing children are welcome too!) or to call for further information. La Leche League offers:

  • Mother-to-mother support
  • Monthly meetings
  • Telephone help from accredited Leaders
  • Lending library with books on childbirth, breastfeeding, and related subjects
  • Parenting Conference!

La Leche League

Our informal meetings are open to all women interested in breastfeeding, especially those mothers who are nursing older babies, toddlers, or children, or who may be breastfeeding younger and older children at the same time.  Babies are always welcome.

Meeting Information

Our evening meetings take place on the second Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at Sprout Soup, 4310 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio.

Leader Information

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone between meetings for breastfeeding questions or concerns.
